Igloo is an archive for your Mac and iPhone. Drop in images, links and notes, and it reads what is in them, so you can find things by what they say instead of where you filed them.
Igloo is an upcoming archiving app for macOS and iOS. It stores images, screenshots, web links and notes, and uses Apple's Vision framework on the device to read text inside images, tag them and detect their colours, so the whole library is searchable. Files are kept in the user's own iCloud account and sync between Mac and iPhone, with no separate account. Igloo costs $9.99 as a single purchase covering both platforms rather than a subscription. It has not been released yet.

When something lands in your library, Igloo looks at it, guesses the tags, pulls out any text and notes the main colours. When it guesses wrong, you rename the tag or delete it.

No. Igloo is $9.99 once and that covers both the Mac app and the iPhone app. There is no monthly fee and no renewal.
In your own iCloud account. Igloo keeps a local copy on each device and syncs through iCloud, so there is no Igloo account to create and no server of mine holding your files.
Yes. The copy on your device is the real one. Sync catches up when you are back online.
It uses Apple's Vision framework, which runs on your device. Your images are not uploaded anywhere to be analysed.

No, and there is no plan for one. Igloo is a Mac and iPhone app. The Chrome extension works anywhere Chrome does, but it only clips pages into a library that a Mac or iPhone owns.
